Eagles by day, the Milky Way on clear nights
Guests and hosts report bald eagles, deer, black bears, otters and bobcats around the ridge and along the lake. With no town lights on the far shore, stargazing from the hot tub comes up in review after review.
★★★★★
“We saw eagles and even a bear swimming in the lake down below it was such a cool experience!”

A winding mountain road, then gravel
The last stretch to the cabins is a gravel driveway along the ridge.
Arrive in daylight the first time
Guests who did say the curves are easier to learn in the light.
Low cars, go slowly
One recent guest scraped a low car on potholes in the drive.
Winter weather
Ice and snow can make the road slow. Message the hosts if the forecast turns.
